Got the Rice 100th anniversary gig loaded in and setup. Going to be a pretty cool show I think. 3D projection onto three buildings in the quad.
Now I’m in Austin loading in for my 4th ACL Festival. Lots of good bands this year. Most of them not on my stage but a few will be in front of me. Love this festival almost as much as Coachella.
More pics to come!
….and two more big shindigs to go before I can sleep in for a bit. Buzzfest tonight with several good bands. Toadies (as always) were great as well as a newer band called Dead Sara. Hanni el Khatib sounded like the next door neighbor to the Black Keys…
Nice to get a bit of rock in the ears once in a while!
The calm before the storm…
My little man waiting for the show to get done…
I love the quiet of an empty stage in the morning….
….before all hell breaks loose.
This week and next are going to be some of the most hectic times so far this year….
Been advancing two festivals, mapping and planning for a third major gig, working on getting the new gear up to spec, and several other things. Buzzfest 29 starts loading in Friday. Show Saturday. Sunday through Wednesday morning is the Rice University 100th anniversary event. Then leave out Wednesday for Austin to load in my stage for the ACL festival. I’ll be on the Honda stage. Three days of that and then I can come home to breathe for a few minutes….
Then all the rest of our new gear arrives to be tagged, labeled, sorted, and cataloged. Which will amount to oh, enough to properly fill a stadium and then some. Time to get that cloning thing figured out. Until then, feast your eyes on the weirdest couch ever….
Another what the…???
Last night was down in Corpus Christi at the American Bank Center. Show went very well. Got home at 7 this morning. Proceeded to pass right out though which has now shot my day a bit. Weekend off for once though so I’m happy.
